3D logo PNG with a transparent background
A 3D logo with a transparent background can be placed over any color, photo or video without boxes or white backgrounds. In Frame.lab you turn it on in one click from the Scene panel.
Try it in the editorWhat a transparent PNG is for
It is used to overlay your logo on thumbnails, presentations, web pages, social media designs or video edits, letting whatever is behind show through. If you export with a colored background, you would have to cut it out afterwards.
How to turn it on
In the editor, open the Scene panel and choose “Transparent” in the background section. In the viewer you will see a checkerboard pattern, which marks the areas with no background. Then, when you export the PNG, the file keeps that transparency.
Keep in mind that if you preview the logo on a colored background, the exported result will have that color: the “Transparent” option has to be on at the moment you export.
How shadows and reflections behave
Reflective materials, such as chrome, use a studio environment to generate their reflections, and that does not depend on the background color. Even so, it is worth testing the logo on the background where you will use it, because a very light material can get lost on a light background.
Step by step
- Upload your logo to the editor and choose the material.
- Open the Scene panel and select “Transparent”.
- Adjust the camera with the preset views or by rotating the model.
- Export as PNG from the Export panel.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export a video with a transparent background?
Transparency is meant for PNG images. For video, choose a background color that matches where you will use it.
Why does my light logo barely show on a white background?
That is normal: a light or translucent material, such as glass, has little contrast on white. Try a darker material or place the logo on a background that contrasts.
